Please see below answers to some of our commonly asked questions.  If there are questions we have not covered in the list please contact us, we’ll be happy to help.

How long have you been operating for?

A. We have been providing services to contractors since 1996.

What are your charges?

A. Our fees are based on the Gross contract income so vary depending upon your personal situation. One of our advisors can provide you with further information on this.

Are there any hidden costs, such as set-up or termination fees?

A. There are no charges for set up or termination of our services. You are not tied in for any set length of time and are free to use us as and when you please. You will only be charged fees for the weeks you actually work.

What do I need to do to register?

A. Contact us to discuss your status and an Advisor will explain the services we offer. You will need to complete the relevant registration documents depending upon the service you require, one of our Advisors will let you know what other documents we’ll need.

How much will my take home income be?

A. You can take home up to 30% more than standard PAYE.

What about IR35 and MSC legislation, will I be affected?

A. IR35 and MSC legislation will not apply to you if you use the Employment Umbrella Solutions. However, IR35 could apply to Single Owner Limited Companies.

Who do I need to send my timesheet to?

A. You need to send your timesheet to your agency and to your payroll coordinator, unless your agency uses a self billing payment method.

How will I be paid?

A. As soon as we receive cleared funds we will process them and pay you by your selected transfer method (BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT or cheque) the very same day.

How often will I be paid?

A. We run payrolls daily so that we can pay you as often as we receive funds. By default we pay via a BACS transfer (if you haven’t opted for another payment method), which takes three working days from our account to yours.

How do I know that a payment has been made to me?

A. Once we have processed your payment, you will receive an SMS text message to your mobile phone to confirm that a payment has been made (for this reason it is important that you ensure we have your correct mobile phone number).

Can I get same day transfers?

A. Same day transfers (CHAPS payments) are available, however the bank will charge for this service.

Can you provide Professional Indemnity Insurance cover?

A. Yes. This insurance cover is available should this be required for your contract. A small charge for this is applied, please contact us for further information.

What do I get if I recommend your services?

A. Business grows through referral - If you know someone who would benefit from our services then please let us have their name and a contact number. We follow up on all referrals, after your acquaintance has completed 6 weeks work through us we will give you a referral fee of £150 per introduction.
